Liposomal Glutathione Supplementation Restores TH1 Cytokine Response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis Infection in HIV-Infected Individuals.

The latest study shows our product increases immune cell glutathione and function. The randomized controlled double-blind study was done at a university clinic with individuals who have low glutathione related to HIV. After taking either glutathione or placebo for 3 months the patients who started with low glutathione had great results using Readisorb® at 1 1/2 teaspoons twice a day. The plasma glutathione increased dramatically (see absorption graph).
The study showed that low glutathione is associated with a decrease in defensive function of immune cells. Direct support of glutathione restores TH1 cell function and supports immune cell function related to fighting infection. ReadiSorb supports immune cell defense, as evidenced by a significantly improved intracellular defense against infection in the immune cells of individuals who ingested ReadiSorb Glutathione (see immune support graph).
Th1 lymphocytes are critical in the cellular immune response and they play an important role in host defense system against microbial agents and viruses. In this study, tuberculosis bacteria were introduced into the participant’s immune cells in the lab. The growth of TB was significantly reduced in their cells after ingesting oral ReadiSorb Glutathione.
Our laboratory previously reported that individuals with HIV infection have lower levels of GSH. In this study, we report a link between lower levels of GSH and dysregulation of TH1- and TH2-associated cytokines in the plasma samples of HIV-positive subjects. Furthermore, we demonstrate that supplementing individuals with HIV infection for 13 weeks with liposomal GSH (lGSH) resulted in a significant increase in the levels of TH1 cytokines, IL-1β, IL-12, IFN-γ, and TNF-α.
